As a Principal Network Architect, I’ve lead numerous Enterprise level projects including a wide range of technologies including Cisco VOIP (Global), MPLS (LAN and WAN), Security (FWSM, ASA, PIX, concentrators), Wireless (Autonomous and LWAPP AP’s, LWAPP controllers), and Datacenter Routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and Switching (especially spanning tree design). As Senior Cisco Team Leader, I was responsible for managing the Cisco Consulting Team which well exceeded its yearly goals. In addition to my managerial responsibilities, as a Senior Cisco consultant I produced the highest billed revenue for the year 2002 at 150% of quota. An ExtraTeam consultant performs many roles such as Sales Engineer, Project Manager, Team Manager, and Field Engineer. Contra Costa Community College District (CCCCD) – As Senior Lead Engineer, redesigned and implemented new routing and security measures. Conducted complete overhaul of Layer 3 LAN switching infrastructure, WAN infrastructure, PIX firewall implementations (Internet, colleges, and K-12 school districts). This includes IPSEC VPN support for remote access and backup routing. Implemented wireless DMZ segment with IPSEC VPN.

Owner – Responsible for the operations of a Cisco network consulting organization dedicated to providing the highest quality of Professional Services in numerous aspects of networking including IP/IPX/AT routing, MPLS, QOS, AVVID, Traffic Engineering solutions.

Professional Services – Senior Network Consultant (3/00 – 4/01) – Achieved 270% of yearly quota for 2000. The following is a summary of projects:
1. Adobe Systems -Senior Lead Engineer in a large scale Cisco Gigabit Ethernet LAN Switch conversion project involving the design, configuration, prototype, implementation, and integration of over 16,000 ports. The project involved cutting over from a 3COM ATM LANE switched network to a Cisco Gigabit Ethernet switched network built with over 120 Cisco 4000/6500 series switches and two 7206 routers utilizing IP, IPX, and AppleTalk. The project was featured in Network World magazine (9/25/00). This extremely successful cutover was completed 45% ahead of schedule with no unexpected down time.
2. Adobe Systems – As Senior Network Consultant, responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing a redundant BGP Internet solution.
3. Pfizer Inc – Successfully completed the AVVID integration of Cisco Callmanager with the Octel Voicemail system (utilizing SMDI).
4. Non-Stop Net – Assisted as a Senior Consultant on staging, configuring, and testing a major data center for an ISP collocation provider. Solution provided collocation network infrastructure facilities consisting of Cisco 12000 GSR and 3640 routers, 6500 series switches, PIX Firewalls, Local Directors and Distributed Directors running IP (BGP).
5. Siebel Systems – Conducted a two week Network Assessment which produced a highly detailed report of numerous recommendations to both stabilize and prepare the network for extensive future growth. Network consisted of over 70 routers (worldwide), 200 switches, numerous firewalls, and remote access gateways running IP (EIGRP).
6. Informano – Lead Engineer for Design Architecture phase for Wireless Provider Integrator. Designed detailed network documentation for network to efficiently internetwork Wireless Carriers with Wireless Application Service Providers utilizing IP/EIGRP/MPLS/BGP with Cisco 6500 series switches (w/Multiflex WAN ports) in 40 data centers countrywide. Design included Network Drawings (Layer 1, 2, and 3), Network Management Center Procedures, Prototyping test plans, IP Address Schemes, Security, and OPNET simulation modeling.
Sales Engineer (10/99-3/00) – Provided pre-sales network solutions (qualifying, designing, quoting, and preparing Statements of Work) for the Healthcare Channel throughout the Fresno, San Jose, San Francisco, and Sacramento areas. Designs primarily utilized full Cisco product line (Routers – low end through 7500, Switches – low end through 6500, all firewalls and remote access technology), Nokia and Checkpoint products.

- Netsuite Engineer – Collected logical network architecture (LAN/WAN) information throughout corporation using numerous automated network tools (Netsuite, Cabletron SPEL, Network General Sniffer Pro) in addition to manual methods for Y2K assessment purposes.
- Team Lead – Highly successful in the management of CHW Y2K Inventory team in addition to performing Server and Network Engineer role. Included planning execution, and documentation of an unobtrusive inventory project resulting in ahead of schedule inventory with zero down time.
